I tripped over this vid last night. I've spent a lot of time with a chainsaw in my hands. But when you watch someone like this you learn how little you actually know. This guy is an artist. It makes you appreciate what those folks that deal with forest fires and such do. And the skill sets they have. I learned a lot just watching.

Wow, great skills with that saw. It looked like it was a very sharp blade too.

Thanks for posting it. It's nice to see someone who knows what they are doing do their work and enjoy it!

Chairsaws are like shovels and picks . I never found one that fit my hands ....

I have the right saw anyway but mine aint as big as his. He must of been up there in Genes country.

back in the 70's I bought 2 professional grade Stihl chainsaws .... both are well worn and still perform as one would expect from professional equipment .... the fellow handling the one in the video most certainly knows how to handle a saw and how to get the most our of wedges

I had a stihl chain saw for use here on the farm. We heated with wood for about fifteen years, and a good saw was a must. That 18" stihl had the power, and we kept four sharp chains on hand, swapping as they got dull. The key to using a chainsaw is respect, and never getting in a hurry.. not taking chances.

After my fall last year the doc said a spiral twisting pressure on that femur could refracture the leg. I gave the stihl to a friend... otherwise I would already have used it several times. (Just a quick cut to ... )

It was a great saw, but it could be a beast....

I bought mine in the early 80's and I can still fire it up on the third pull.
