Want be long and will be breaking up the garden. We still have plenty of some things canned and froze from last season. As of now, I only plan to plant peas and butterbeans. Butterbeans, I may plant end of April, but peas will be around 1st week or so in May, depending on Weather. My plans usually change some though.

Yes, way too early here too. Snow still covers everything. I do have visions of Spring though.

Snow is gone here at lower elevations but still cold enough at nights to be frosty most mornings. My friend will probably be planting a small garden on the property but I only really care about having homegrown tomatoes. I'm happy with grocery store or farmer's market for my other veggie needs.

My problem with having a garden is that if I can't spray, weed eat, or mow weeds I don't want to deal with them.

I can't remember how many years it's been since I haven't grew tomatoes. But I don't eat tomatoes, and wife can get all she wants from her sister. So, as of now, I'm not growing tomatoes this year. Folks will have to get their tomatoes from someone else this year and there's very few that garden anymore.

Looking good graywolf

Around here there is an old wive’s tale” regarding planting time. There is a small mountain SE of town called Mica Peak. So the theory is don’t plant until the snow has left the peak or Mother’s Day, which ever is later.

Best to all who have a garden this year.

Most of them old wive's tales are good to go by. Even this far south, I don't plant most things til Mother's Day. One thing that's been passed down thru the years is we always have a cold snap around Easter. That seems to work out most years. Some years I fudge, and plant between Easter and Mother's Day. Depends if I'm gonna plant a second crop.

Looks great graywolf. As I look out the window there's plenty of snow still here.
