Trail Trak project done.....

After a week of getting the engine swap and wiring details sorted out on this old Troy lawn tractor I move on to building a hitch setup
for it. Added a beefier 1 7/8 tow ball on a better mount and add a matching coupler to my light duty trailer and my push mower.
Just hitch up the mower when you want to cut some grass down at the range on the days you don't want to bring the bigger Kubota tractor down there.
Remove one bolt and the coupler removes from front of mower and coupler bracket stays on front of mower.

Also with the cutting deck removed there is more ground clearance when the need to haul things down the trails. In some cases the Kubota with the front loader on was to big for easy manuvering along the trail. The cutting deck was a rusted mess anyway with the blade spindles rusted up tight.
An old lawn tractor my son had an now runs fine...starts everytime with the smaller 10 Hp B&S engine swap.

That'll be handy as a pocket on a shirt.

Hauling it all to the range tomorrow and see how it works out. That little push mower I bought several years ago and it just starts every time even leaving fuel in the carb over the winter. Has no float bowl but just a siphon tube. So far the lawn tractor hasn't failed to start....yet!

Very ingenious. It's a good way to use things that keep them useful. I like it.

Tried it out today at the range and cut a good bit of grass with it plus took a ride down the trail and all worked well.
Will be a handy setup to have around the range.
