I wish there was a market for wood chips around here. That would probably justify me buying a chipper, lol. But it's just not in our culture.

I'm just going to keep stacking the limbs in the woods. It's amazing how quick they can disappear. Ground cover for some small wild animals in the meantime. Hopefully the ones I like, lol.

On bank below the house going down to the creek, I drag the branches to the water. "It's amazing how quick they can disappear." Beavers haul them off in short order.

I lay a20 ft sling across the bed of my trailer...........I fill it with limbs and go to the woods..........I choke the sling back on itself on top on the load......I back the trailer up to a tree and tie the sling to the tree........Pulling forward slowly drags the whole load off the trailer......Hook one end of the sling to the trailer and pull out from under the pile......Creating instant wildlife habitat.

We do the same, pile the debris in a big pile in a wooded area in the middle of the north west section of the acreage. Habitat for the wildlife. Bunnies, foxes, bobcats. Circle of life.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.

I had the tree guy make some huge stacks in the upper field behind the house which is out of sight. The lower plantation is what everyone sees as they drive by and the entire reason I’m doing this is to make the place look nice. I’ll burn the piles this fall when there is at least six inches of snow on t he e ground.
