trigger guard/ plate mis aligned

I just got an all weather big boy in the hard chrome finish. Looking it over I noticed that on the underside, the trigger plate is flush along one side of the receiver side plate and stock. The other side is about 3/32's higher than the side plate and stock which gives the whole trigger assembly a canted off center look. I have sent pictures to henry at their request. I just wanted to see if anyone here has this problem as well. It is after all 2020, with all the computerized high tech CNC machining you would think that getting a major component like this to fit in the gun properly would be a given.

Bosleydog, the good news for you is that it is a Henry. Mistakes manage to get through the door in all manufacturing, but when it's a Henry rifle, it will be corrected even if it means replacing the entire thing. I know; I have a Henry replacement Big Boy that looks and shoots like a dream.

Thanks CT If I go to the henry home page there is a big picture of a wet all weather model. You can see the difference in the trigger plate and side plate heights. Maybe it is the flush side that might be off. Guess I will see what Henry says. I have a Marlin Dark and a mossberg roy rogers 30/30 and there is no difference side to side. None of my local shops have a Henry left for comparo. I recently bought a Ruger GP 100 match champion. The trigger group in that was so far off to one side it jammed about every time the trigger was pulled. Sent it back and they called and said they don't know how the gun ever left the factory like that. It was replaced. Guess I just have bad luck with trigger assemblies

Thanks for the welcome. OK just heard from Henry rep. The answer is (drum roll please) Because the parts are hand fit and polished, mostly before they are mated to an individual rifle, there are more than likely going to be differences in actual fit and appearance. This is to be expected and from the pictures I sent these seem to be within their expected tolerances,and in no way will effect the function of the firearm. I still like it. Before it even got here I ordered the over sized loop cocking lever. Takes a little more effort to get a full swing on the lever but my hand fits in much better. Plus it looks better. This web site looks to be the most active of ones I looked up, so I will probably look in often. Already added it to my favorites bar. Thanks for the answers gentleman
