Model 1860 Wood Shipping Crate

Hello! New member here but I've been reading on the forum for a long while and finally decided to register. I thought I'd include some photos of my project to show I'm a serious Henry rifle enthusiast. While my Model 1860 is a Navy Arms version, I hope it's still ok to post here. I put a scope on it and decided it needed a case to protect it and thought it would be cool to make a Civil War era shipping crate as if from the factory as a special order:

Welcome from Va. Rayman1. A big WOW on the detail you put into that crate!! Where did you find the old looking Henry ammo boxes and the rifle instructions? I bet that Henry is a great shooter!

The boxes were made by a friend. He makes reproduction ammo boxes and I sent him a photo of a real label and he reproduced the boxes with the awesomely copied labels. I thought it was pretty amazing.

I have a real shipping receipt from the Adams company that's actually blank and unused. I was going to hand write a name and place, and date it sometime in 1862. Maybe to a fictional soldier in a unit that would've had Henry rifles. I have another that's already written in and it looks pretty good affixed to the back of the crate as it is. And it's insured for about the same as a Henry would've cost with a scope and shipping.

The instructions were actually from one of the reproduction New Haven Arms booklet catalogs that have soldier testimonials about the rifle. Luckily, the last few pages of the catalog have a price list, parts diagrams, patent diagram, and some instructions. But I photocopied a few select pages onto old style paper and shrunk it down a bit. Seemed to make it work just fine as period paperwork that could've one with the rifle from the factory.

Fine work. I'd have some nice pictures taken and send them to Henry. I bet Imperato would be impressed and they might ever showcase it in their marketing collateral. Nicely done.
