Another return

As I mentioned in a 357 Range report my CCH 357 Carbine is binding up when the lever is operated. I emailed Henry and I have a return label already to send it back to the Rice Lake plant. Not sure what is causing this as I looked at every possible thing I could think of.

How far did you go when 'looking' ? Did you remove the lever or the bolt perchance? Or perform a complete teardown?

Reason I ask is I had a minor 'hangup' in my BBB when cycling and only found it after a complete teardown and discovered a slight burr on the carrier.

Yes I tore it clear down even taking out the trigger assembly. I notice the bolt was alot harder to remove than on any of my other Henry's which also seem strange to me. It never from the get go seemed quite right to me. I thought maybe some working the action might take care of this but its only gotten worse. I hope its something easy as replacing the internal parts because I really like the CCH on this gun. A full replacement I may not get back the same CCH.

Got it.

It would have been interesting to 'mike' the bolt to see if it was perfectly round, as well as to try to get a caliper inside the chamber to check it as well.

Hey Al, hope you get "your" rifle back with only some minor tuning, or internal part replacement.

Well if they go over it like Ruger does it should be really slick when you get it back!
Haven't had to send my Henrys back yet but then I only have 2.

Have had great luck with Ruger but took several returns to S&W to get a new revolver straightened out.

Hopefully it will return better than new. At least you have other Henry's to shoot. Alaways a good thing.

Received an email from Henry this am. My gun has made it to the Rice Lake Plant. More news to come as soon as I hear from them again.

I'm familiar with that email Al. It is comforting to know when your rifle is in their hands.
It did take about 2 weeks or more after that, before I got it back. Hope they are quick with yours!

I hear ya Mark. Im not to much worried about how long it takes them to fix this within reason of course. Im more anxious to see if this one can be fixed due to the nature of the problem. Im hoping for a fix on this one due to how much I like the CCH of that receiver.

My 357 was is back. I could of had it yesterday but no one was home when the UPS man showed up. It wasn't even gone 2 weeks. I think the turn around was really fast. There comments on enclosed form where this. Replaced bolt and removed burr and polished bolt bore.. Its smooth as glass now and what a difference. I had a concern when I sent this gun in. I was afraid if they needed to replace it I wouldn't get the same CCH equivalent of a CCH receiver as I had. I took pictures. Sent those pictures along with a pic of the end of the rifle box to Anthony. Immediately Monday am I had an answer from him. He sent a CC email to Tia who is at the Rice Lake Plant. She told me to call her which I did. She told me that she would personally make a note that if this gun was to be replaced it would not be replaced without her approval. Anthony had instructed her that if it was replaced it would be replaced with CCH equivalent to what I had. I really thought this was exceptional customer service. I cant thank Henry enough for what they did.
