All Weather Bolt Wear

Hi all,
I recently acquired a brand new All Weather .45-70 and have been happy with the fit and finish as well as functionality. I started getting a little curious when I looked at the state of the bolt after a few cycles and Range trip with just 25 rounds. Is the bolt wear in these photos typical on the All Weather normal in the beginning of ownership and light duty? I oil the contact surfaces with CLP typically.

Welcome to the forum from CT. I don't know if it's typical, but the bluing on the bolt in my BBB .357, which is perfect in every other way, is also worn. The rifle shoots like a dream, so I just think of it as a bit of character.

Yep - pretty normal wear.
Bluing is pretty 'thin' and wears quickly when the blued part makes contact with something else and moves.
One of the reasons most guns with round, enclosed bolts the bolts are just left plain and polished.

Agree, all my bolts show wear. No worries there.
Those bolts will outlast me.

Heck, I just looked at my Henry and the bluing on my bolt is nearly half gone!

Thank you for the welcome and clarification everyone. I just wanted to make sure I didn't get a receiver that was out of spec. The action is quite smooth out of the box and improves with every cycle. I took it to the range with some 405gr trapdoor loads I cooked up and was very surprised with how little recoil impulse I felt with the pad provided so I'm quite happy with it.
