I usually buy the NRA tan and black targets but the last time I ordered I bought some new type. I love the peeps and globes on my Henrys but sometimes seeing a black dot through a black hole doesn't give you the best view. I tried the orange target on the left my last two outings but they have been scoped. I want to try the orange/green one with my iron sighted Henrys soon.

The county range has some with a large pink outer ring. They show up pretty well in the globe sight. I like shooting Dirty Bird targets just because they pop green when you hit them. Makes it a lot easier to see 22 hits down range.

It is easier to see the holes in the orange targets. They are the only ones of the colored ones that I've used. So far I love them but think the orange/green one will be better. Some of the others are adjustment targets.

Clovispup and I normally shoot at an indoor range nearby. We just use the large silhouette targets they have on hand at a fairly competitive price. You can get as few as you need for the day and don't have to transport bulky paper targets. They have several colors and configurations available. Since we normally shoot somewhere around 300 rounds each visit, just using the center of the target doesn't give you much feedback after a couple dozen rounds. We use small adhesive dots to create lots and lots of small target spots around the large target. Since we are shooting around 7 yds for pistol and 15 - 25 yds for rifle, the groups can be pretty close together and still show information about each group. We normally choose the blue silhouettes with the numbers. The numbers can be used as a target spot for pistol, or rifle with a scope. We avoid the black (can't see the holes at distance as the background is black as well. We also avoid pink (aesthetic decision). The dots we use are normally picked up in the office supply section of the local dept store. I like the rounds with the smiley faces on them. We do have to watch what color we use depending on the color background. Some just blend in, and some stick out quite well.

Clovispup usually ends up taping up some fun targets she prints off the computer near the end of the session. We are both Dr Who fans, and she likes using drawings of some of the monsters from the show.

I like the one to the right of the big green target. I like fairly dull paper and a white center that I can make a bulls eye to suit what I am shooting that day. Good target to blacken the center of the white bull the size you need to match your peep sights and globe front. I buy my paper at China-Mart and make my bulls with the center hole in a CD. A bullet hole any where on the paper can be seen. I buy the heavy paper to cut clean holes with out all the tearing. Sir Henry you do have a nice assortment of targets and I might look at the show tomorrow for some thing I like. That big orange one at the top center on the table looks like a good one also. You probably bought that one because it is Henry orange.

I do tend to shoot the orang targets often. The one to the left of your big green monster is similar to some I have. I like to line the crosshairs up on the vertical and horizontal lines. I will put an orange sticker at the crossing point and see if I can hit it just using the two lines, not focusing on the sticker.

Some of them are aiming targets like the one you are talking about. The military has some that are similar and it tells you how many clicks to adjust on an M16.

I have come to like the orange or green color targets with irons or scope. Even the black reticle in a scope is hard to align properly on a black target.

My wife is a teacher and her students do a project every semester on colored poster boards. Most of the students don't want them back at the end of the semester, so she brings them home and I turn them over and use the back side. I can staple four of the plates onto one of the poster boards and then staple the poster board to the target backer at the range.

Cheap and effective.

I use the shoot and see. You can see what you hit...or maybe not :/(

Yes, I do like those also. Especially if I am shooting with iron sights. If I am shooting a handgun at 10 yards or a rifle with a scope, then I use the paper plates. I just look through the scope to see my hits, if I hit anything but the backstop.

You can print targets from various sites on line. I've done it a lot, costs you the paper & ink!!!!!!

You can print targets from various sites on line. I've done it a lot, costs you the paper & ink!!!!!!

I printed 200 targets at work one day.

That's how I have enought money for the gas and ammo!!

My new targets costs around seventeen cents each. My old style was only five cents. But I bought a new style that was only six cents each and I liked them so will buy more of those when I run low.

I use the shoot, squint, shrug and shoot again method...
