I made the drive yesterday from Ohio down to Louisville Kentucky yesterday. The 200 mile drive in the morning was sunny and dry, the drive back was pouring rain but the convention was so much fun. Is was busy but not too crazy, not as big as a Saturday crowd. We saw no protesters either.

The Henry booth was big and there was plenty of room too walk around and look at the gun displays. You could pick up the guns and work the actions. I visited the booth twice yesterday and both times Mr. Imperato was on the floor, they say he stays all day talking to people. I visited with him earlier in the day and he took his time with everyone. You can tell that he cares about the customers, his company and the NRA and the 2nd Ammendment. All the Henry employees at the booth were great.

Wow, PMC. Your picture of the American Railroad Tribute Henry looks sharper than the picture on the Henry web site --- very nice photos.
And cool shot of Pres. Imperato, too. It was good to hear how you see him as really caring for his customers. That is evident through his great CS.

Did you get to hold an H011 Original?

No, but I didn't even think to look for it or hold it.

Thought I'd sneak in here and say that I did get to handle the H011 Original at our KCKS Cabelas a short while ago --- but it's now long gone. It's a really sharp-looking Henry. I saw the traditional bronze model; would like to see a case-hardened model, too. It is a little heavier rifle, but according to the Henry RAC specs, it's only .34 lbs more weight than my Henry .357 Bronze Big Boy.

What I thought was very cool on this rifle were two things. The single-molded barrel/loading tube (great design), and the folding ladder rear sight. Both are well done reproductions of the 1860 rifle. I noticed that those Henry Folk on our forum who have one really like shooting them. I'm not surprised!

Those are great photographs. It looks like it was roomy compared to a picture I saw today.

CT Shooter has fixed me up with that pic with Mr. Imperato resized for my avatar, going to upload it tommorow when I have access to my computer. I agree it will make a great avatar.

I have found over the last several years I gravitate more and more to either older firearms or at least new firearms that are older designs like the 1911 and lever actions. I spent more time looking at the Henrys and revolvers and 1911s than any of the plastic or AR guns.

I have owned Glocks and ARs but I have never connected or bonded with them like I do with my 1911s, older shotguns and lever actions. Nothing wrong with ARs and plastic guns at all. Just the older I get I just gravitate more and more to the older designs. Plus I am not a tactical guy, just an old country boy.

Nice pictures. I really like that American Railroad Tribute rifle. Stole that and sent it to my daughter who works for CSX. Her immediate response was, "Are you going to buy me one?" I said, "Sure, send me $1,000 and it will be on the way to you!"

Good post & good pictures. I attended the NRA convention a few years ago when it was at Indianapolis, Indiana. When I visited the Henry booth, Mr. Imperato was on the floor talking with the visitors. I did not visit with him at their booth but I have exchanged e-mails with him. He is the real deal.

I own an AR. I see it every time I reach for my Henry. That is a great commercial!
