I make my own leather lever wraps for my lever guns not for looks . I did the CAS / SASS thing and the leather help me in the rapid firing , it fill in the large gap allows me to rack the lever much faster .

I don't think so, we'll see if I even keep it on there when glove season shows up.

I shot this afternoon with the lever wrap on, and I kinda' liked it. It felt pretty good. Very easy to cock the lever, and fingers don't slide around at all.

Yes, my hands are too big for wraps. With a standard lever it's kind of crowded in winter with gloves on.

I have a leather wrap from Ricochet Roy on my Rossi 1892 and will be getting one for my Henry Big Boy as soon as I can get it home.

I fixed up my makeshift rain cover into more of a better fit. Old chaps come in handy. Put a brass Concho on like the ones on my saddle. I've oiled it since this photo so it's waterproofed and darker color. It fits good and is functional. I laced the open end closed so it just slides over top of the rifle and is easy to flip it up to pull the rifle out.
