If you follow HRA on social media you may have seen this already. They posted a photo showing part of what looks to be a new rifle, with a caption saying it is being announced tomorrow. Any ideas of what it might be?

Might be that Turnbull Bone Case Hardening Rifle. There making 250 of each caliber. There is several caliber's in the line up.

I thought that too, but in the picture they posted that I posted above, the stock looks a bit different, whatever it is, looks like it’s going to be very nice looking

Just sent to me via email. New Henry side gate loading rifles. 3 new models. 30-30 35 Remington and 35-55. I know now what my next Henry will be. Been wanting one in 38-55.

I guess now all the side gate people will come out of the wood work and buy Henrys and they will be happy. 35 Remington lovers now have there wish with a 35 Remington. These guns are also round barrels. I like OCT better but they are also heavier to carry.

interesting .... in looking at the pictures in the link, it appears the three with a side loading gate still have a traditional slot in the magazine tube .... having the ability to load them either way seems like a strong plus to me

I'd say it gets the "if Henry would make a side-loader, I would buy one" crowd into the corral.
Looks pretty cool to me, but I like the tube load. On the other hand, makes it handy to top off...

Id like a longer barrel but I'll take a 38-55. Probably prefer the round barrel over the straight octagon.

I believe they are round barrels. Wow, .38-55 and .35 Rem. Henry has upped the ante I'd say. These look to be a seller, big time. Seems Henry was seriously listening.

Any ideas about the M.S.R.P. for these new side gates?

MSRP looks to be about $1,000. Street price would be lower I suppose. And, with the round barrel, they're about 1.5 lb lighter. Even with the brass receiver. Oo doggies!

I had a 'hunch' they would have a side gate....
I'll bet ya a bottle of your favorite this is a 'test' run - and if all goes well we will see side gates in the other popular models.

Tube loading and side loading gate. I love options. Normally I’m not enamored with brass receivers, but those are some beautiful lines.

You're probably right. Good call on Henry with the .38-55 and .35 Rem. Interesting times for us lever folk.

I wonder how many years it will be before these rifles are in the dealers rack so folks can buy one.
