Pre 1990 Henry .22?

There's a guy on a Collectible & Relics Facebook group that swears he's had his Henry .22 since he was a teen in the 1970s. I told him HRA wasn't around then, it's either an Ithaca or Erma. He says it is marked Henry, Made in USA. Is that possible?
ETA: He deleted the post. Swore it was a 1970s Henry, but I guess he realized his error.
