Went and saw super women, with the granddaughters yesterday. The Indian chief was carrying a 1865 yellow boy, had a neat stock on it, had a gold studed cross and a line of gold studs on the rear of the stock, looked super cool. Didn't see him shoot it or load it the whole movie.

I'll have to look that movie up. I haven't been to a movie in a while.

No, the studs were arranged in a cross toward the middle of the stock and one row. On the end

Never have seen that done to a stock before. Have seen a lot of either carving or decals work mostly, and of course, lots of great-looking leather stock wraps. Also didn't know Cimarron offers this brass tacks deco on some of their rifles. An interesting look...

when ever I see a long gun with brass or silver studs hammered into the stock, I can't help but think back to Apache Chief Winnetou in the Old Surehand movies that stared Stewart Granger

Looks cool but I don't think I'll be doing that to my Henry anytime soon. Although my son has some Pokemon stickers somewhere...kidding.

Pinterest is a good place to see rifles decorated with tack art. Some of that is just gorgeous. I cosidered doing it to my gun, even bought the tacks, but the wood was just too pretty.

The actor who played the chief grew up in RanchRoper's region. Although that is a pretty big region! I'll have to see the movie once it comes to TV or Netflix.

(Eugene) Brave Rock grew up on the Kainai First Nations reserve in Alberta, Canada. He began acting at age seventeen and enlisted to star in a play about suicide while attending Plains Indian Cultural Survival School in Calgary.
