Trigger Lock for Henry Big Boy?
I am looking for a trigger lock for the Big Boy. Prefer combination style lock...not another key please.
And....if all your are going to say is "I don't lock my gun" please save space for those that will help out.
(Sorry I am snarky about that but doing internet searches into this topic yields endless comments
about not locking, which I get, but occasionally want it locked when others are around).
Thanks.

I looked for a combo one too, but had to do the cable lock and key thing. Have to keep them locked up in Canada. If you find a good one let me know.

How the heck do they buy, sell, ship and pay ebay and then make any money at $5.95?

I'm pretty sure the item doesn't cost them very much at all. It doesn't look expensive to make.
It's a decent looking lever action device though.

Re: Trigger Lock for Henry Big Boy?
It is an inelegant solution, but I found that one of the locks with a cable would wrap twice around the stock and lever and prevent the lever from being operated. It didn't keep the trigger from being pulled, but with an empty chamber it would effectively keep a round from being chambered. The one I had used a key, but I'm sure there are combo locks out there.

Re: Trigger Lock for Henry Big Boy?
I use a similar lock on all my Henry's. They use a security screw with 2 pin holes as opposed to a key. You have a little key with 2 pins on it to screw and unscrew the screw with. It's not real quick to use in a hurry. But pretty secure. The nub that's supposed to keep you from cocking the hammer only lines up right on one of my 3 Henry's. But that's not an issue. Clear the gun and put this on the lever and it not getting loaded till the lock is removed!hbob wrote:I just ordered a cheap one on ebay..will let you know how it goes. Will do the trick for me. Basically these work just fine and don't scratch the gun like a cable lock can.
When off the gun I store them on the web handle of the gun carry case.

Re: Trigger Lock for Henry Big Boy?
It came in the mail today....don't bother. You could load the gun faster than you can open this "lock."
It is not unlocked by a quick turn of a key...you have to unscrew a long threaded bolt that is very hard to do with
the tiny key that keeps falling out of the holes.....fortunately it was cheap...I am throwing it away.
If you had to do this quick in a stressful situation you would not be able to do it.

They work fine for transit. That's when I lock my rifles. At home they are locked in my safe and don't need to have a separate lock on them.
