Leever or lever?

Post by CT_Shooter » Fri Apr 01, 2016 6:33 pm

How do you pronounce "lever action"?

Is it Leever? or is it Lever? I watched the Hickok45 video that Sir Henry posted where he says "lever". I've always said, "Leever". The dictionary says in England it is pronounced "Leever". In America, it is either lever or leever. So, which do you say?

Just curious. Either way, I love the lever action... and will probably always call it a "leever" action. Habits are hard to change.

My gun is a lever action .
But I cycle it with the leever.

Although a lot of people around here say "Leever", many of us including myself, say "Lever".
