Evening;
Looking long and hard at the .22LR Pump as the next Henry I add. Would greatly appreciate any input from folks who have one. Thank you.

I have one and love it. It has a shorter action stroke than you may be used to. Once you learn to pump it like your mad at it, all will be well. Do yourself a favor and get the Speed D Loader from H.R.A. It will come in handy with your new pump rifle. = More time shooting less time loading

Don't get one. It will be too much fun to shoot it, and you'll just feel guilty.

I bought one, expecting it to be a lot of fun but not particulary accurate. I was wrong on both counts. It's not a lot of fun. It's the
most fun you can have with your clothes on. I'm smiling now just thinking about it. And the accuracy exceeded all my expectations.
The only problem I have is that it uses huge amounts of ammunition. I just can't put it down while I still have ammo with me!
Would I recommend one? Absolutely!

I'd like to get my hands on one to give it a try. I've heard they take quite a bit of force to work the pump.
There are a few videos on YouTube that should help you make your decision!

Sir Henry I'm very surprised you don't already have one in 22mag and 22lr!

I'm going to call my local gun store and see his prices. Wouldn't be surprised if he beats that price.

Thank you for the inputs. I have taken a look at the videos and reviews on YouTube. Seems like a no brainer. Being in NY, I need to follow a pretty tight set of rules for purchasing firearms. Appreciate the suggestions.

I wanted the 22 mag that my local gun store had but after pricing the ammo I just couldnt justify it. I can shoot 762x39 cheaper than I can buy 22 mag ammo. I passed and decided on something else. Al

They are not too bad. I think the 'force' thing is a bit overstated on some forums etc. You need to operate the slide firmly, but turning red in the face with white knuckles probably means using a bit
too much effort!

I have not found racking the action difficult at all. Mine is smooth and consistent. I always rack the action a bit forcefully. Many days of pump action shotgun brought my affinity for pump action rifles.
Get one, you'll love it.

Love both of mine, 22 LR. and 22 Mag. Put a set of skinner peeps on the 22 LR., using it for small bore cowboy sillouette competition. The more I shoot it, the better it gets.
