I think this is a very smart move by Henry. Most of us like to pair our pistol calibers with long guns and 9mm, as the article says, is very cheap to shoot for those of us who don't reload. I would certainly be interested in having one. Looks like fun.

Did you read the whole article? Glock mags (and others), drilled for a rail, Mossberg 500 style safety, threaded barrel, and several other features the old Marlin didn't have. I think this will be a big seller, especially if they make a line of them in other calibers.

Yep, and CA compliant in the basic configuration (not that I care about that). I might have to get one. MSRP will be close to $1000 from what I heard.

Oh, I wasn't pooh poohing the offering at all. Yes, I read the whole article but will stick with the Marlin Camp 9. I have two original Marlin Mags and two extended mags for it already (17 round mags). I don't' have a need for a suppressor so the threaded barrel wouldn't be something to make me buy one. Yes, it will sell like hotcakes!

Very nice. I’ve never liked a pistol caliber carbine that didn’t have a lever and have owned both an original Ruger and a AR style. The Ruger was okay but the AR was both unreliable and not very accurate. That being said, this Henry sure is nice looking. Love the simplicity and the clean lines of it. I could see me owning one. Homesteader, that’s a great name.

I like it, but I hope it isn’t a boat anchor like the Ruger PCC. I very nearly bought a take down one until I picked it up. I guess I have had too many Kel-Tecs to accept a ton of dead weight. Lighter is better for a camp/ ranch rifle.

It would be an acceptable bear defense gun if chambered in 10 mm.

I have to wonder why Henry bothered to develop their own mags when it takes readily available ones with adapters. That makes no sense to me.

I am still waiting on a compact 18” SS in .327 please.

I definitely want one...........as long as it is not too heavy. Pretty exciting offering!

I would like to see a 9mm lever. I do like the Homesteader though.

If the make one in 45acp I might take a look.

If history is any guide, and this 9mm makes a profit, they very well might come out with a full line of calibers for it in a year or 2. Just like they did when they brought out the side gates.

Needs a lever.

I like it & definitely appreciate the ambidextrous features!

Hopefully a 45 ACP version will be soon to follow as well.

The Ruger is $150 cheaper than Henry's offering. When the Henry hits the market it will be interesting to see the differences. i would have bought a Ruger already if it was offered in 45.
