tube feed

Post by Galen » Thu Jun 09, 2022 3:19 pm

I am sure is has been talked about but can't find a thing on it. have a H006m and love it but I have this thing with the tube feed , It is so hard to get the thing turned so I can get it loaded. The last time I was at the range I tried and tried to get it turned and just could not get it so I started using a pliers to get it turned. I know it's not the right thing to do but what should I do? I have only shot about 100 rounds and keep hoping it will get better but as of now I don't feel it's safe the way I was doing it.

It should be very easy. Are you pressing down while turning? That takes some pressure off the spring.

Try spraying the O'Ring with WD 40 or silicone spray. You can also take the o'ring on there to your local ace and get a new one.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

the tube is what is causing the drag and that makes turning it difficult. Polish it, oil it, and push down when turning it.

The end cap is part of the tube. It does not turn independently.
This IS rather interesting though. I have never heard of anyone having this problem. Not that I can remember anyway.🤔

The first time I used one it was difficult but once I figured it out it was easy. Push in, and twist. I can't figure out what happened the first time but it is not an issue anymore. Sorry I couldn't be a better help. You can always contact Henry or go back to the store where it was purchased.

And this is my only unfavorable about my H006M. The knurled end of the tube won't fully seat in the slot in the magazine. It's a slow loading, lousy design. I sat it on the floor on the butt yesterday and the tube popped out of the magazine tube like a jack-in-the-box. I'm trying to sell my H006M to replace it with an H006GM. The side gate loading just makes a bunch more sense.
