When will production step up?

Post by Centaur » Tue Jan 26, 2021 5:45 pm

Much like ammo and reloading supplies, firearms, at least Henrys, are hard to come by right now. I have a particular rifle that I would like to purchase (H009G or009GCC), and they seem to be scarce as hens teeth. Any word on when production/ availability might get back to semi normal?

I can tell you that Henry rifle production here in Wisconsin is probably being affected by the Covid issue. Most our hospitals are struggling with capacity to handle all the cases and vaccinations are way behind schedule. I think we have a long way to go to see even semi-normal.

To be honest, though, I was checking availability of other brands for a friend who wanted to buy some guns and everything was out of stock, no back orders being taken. It's as bad as I've ever seen it for the entire gun industry.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Am afraid Al may be right.
I was in a shop yesterday that had 3 or 4 Henrys, one was a sidegate 30-30.

Better settle in for the long haul, because production and plentiful goods of all kinds are suffering from the most profound logistical challenge in history world wide. And that won't change for several years if at all. The entire planet is affected, and it's going to get worse before it gets better.

How many different products can Henry produce at one time? I was looking at the Henrys Buds Guns has in stock and noticed the prices have gone up a bit since I bought my last one.

IDK,
They may only run one at a time, but
I would think they would a couple of lines running at the same time.
There are the 2 separate factories, don't know.
And sure all this c-19 BS doesn't help.

It’s not just with the firearms industry. Appliances and home improvement items are hard to get. An electrical cutout switch box is just as scare as ammo. Both of the nearby hardware stores have lots of empty shelves.

Of course I don’t see any new laws coming banning the use of hammers and saws.

Got me thinking about my thumper collection. I have a small collection in a variety of calibers. Framing, finishing, ball peen (small and large), dead blow wooden mallets in several weights, a couple sledges. Are we counting dual purpose thumpers (ax side and thump side?) Got a couple of those. Got a bunch of saws, cross cut, ripping, back, detail, joinery, panel, hack, etc.. And some full auto saws (single trigger pull).
