Henry DISCONTINUED MODEL?

Hello to everyone I've noticed in the new Henry product line that they have dropped the 41 magnum from the steel frame lineup . I only see it offered in the cowboy version. I was lucky enough to get the carbine version before the sky fell but I cannot even find a used one . I hope Henry brings back the steel 41 mag.

I contacted Henry about this a couple weeks ago. The BBS and BBSC will not be resurrected in any form - sideegate or otherwise. So you, me, and others are now proud owners of collectable (obsolete) Henry's.

Here's their reply:

"Thank you for your interest. We are making the .41 as always in our Big Boy Classic model only. I will link you below. If you need further assistance, please feel free to give us a call. Have a great night and stay well. "

Yeah, saw that . Just not in steel/tube fed only. Well, people asked for the side gate version, here they are. Henry didn't waste any time getting that ball rolling.

“Well ain’t’ that just special” as The Church Lady on SNL used to say. (Something like that anyway, my memory is aging)

Here I am with both a rifle and a carbine in 41 available right up the road, at least as of last week. What to do? I already have another rifle on lay-away there..............it too is a discontinued model from Ruger...........grrrrrrrrrrr............ just for the fun of it I searched my picture album and found the picture of the 41 mag ammo I sold with my 657 three years ago. If I still had that stash I might do something rash!

I would have bought the carbine, but in the first year of production they only made it in the rifle.
And I own one of the first 500, actually #241.

I would have probably done the same bought the carbine. I thought about buying one here this last year but didnt. Im glad I didnt now. I have to much stuff that I dont use and have been getting rid of it. No family to pass it on to anyway.

Well, I screwed up and told my wife about the 41’s being discontinued. Being the great enabler that she is she started nagging me to go get one. So I made her come with me to the store knowing there was both a rifle and a carbine available. I decided to make her pick which one and she selected the carbine. Despite her nagging to buy it outright I decided to put it on layaway. This will give me time to work on components and or ammo and look for a scope and mount. I’ll add it to the total when I pick it up.

Spouses, what are you going to do? ;)

Well, I figure I'll just find a nice place to rest and do something like this. Leave 'em to whoever finds 'em.
