How Many ?
Re: How Many ?
We need more new members. Henry is selling lots of rifles, but not that many end up here, it seems.

Re: How Many ?
the number of folks joining our forum is considerably larger than it may seem .... it never ceases to puzzle me at the number of folks who go to the trouble to join a forum and then never post anything .... last time I looked we have over 1,200 which gives us a bunch of members who most of us aren't aware ofESquared wrote:We need more new members. .
For the trivia minded, there are 58 pages of members (25 members per page). 29 pages of members have posted at least once.
There are 18 members with 1000 or more posts.
There are 33 members with 500 or more posts.
There are 83 members with 100 or more posts.
There are 121 members with 50 or more posts.

Re: How Many ?
It's an even more extreme condition of the old 80/20 rule ("80% of your business comes from 20% of your customers").
1,450 members (58X29).
255 total have 50 or more posts, EVER, or 17.6%.
It makes for an interesting case study of several aspects of social media, owner's forums, firearms ownership, hobbyists, lots of things.
If anything, it keeps our heads from getting too big over how much "reach" we have. Turns out we're mostly just talking to one another, within a relatively small circle.

Don't add the stats together. It's 121 total have 50 or more posts, not 255.

Re: How Many ?
Yikes, that was brain fart. 100% correct. That makes the 80/20 rule more like the "92/8" rule. Good thing we all get along!Mags wrote:..

In the big scheme of things 1200 members is a small forum and this one is growing slowly.Turns out we're mostly just talking to one another, within a relatively small circle.
Even on a big forum the active membership is typically only a very small percentage of the total membership.
One forum I am a member of has over 40k members yet has maybe 35-40 'active' participants - and this is a well-known regional gun based forum with a lot of sponsors.

So out of some 1124 odd members we only have 760 Henry's.
I guess some just haven't come forward.
