I think that there is at least one single action revolver made in 45-70.

The Desert Eagle folks make one called the BFR.

How about adding the 35 Remington to the line? Perhaps this is a better stand alone thread. The reason the 30-30 has survived in these days when pistol rounds have become the rage in lever guns is because it's better than all of them in down range energy. But if you brought back the 35 rem or add in a 7X30 waters or even the 30-30 improved (which will fire factory ammo just fine) you would be adding down range ballistics without the need to get the gains from bullet weight. I left out the 444 Marlin and a bunch of others, on purpose, based on thinking inside 40,000 cup and it has no advantage over the 45-70. Just thinking out loud.

I would think that the new box magazine rifle in .358 Win would be a smarter move on H.R.A.'s part. >35 Rem. is a good caliber but the .358 has much better ballistics and the box mag. could use pointed bullets.

I like the 358 Win. I wish the 30 30 A.I. was a factory offering in both the gun and the ammo. The advantage of the straight wall case in the A.I. is you can run higher pressure without stressing the action. Ackley did a bunch of experimenting along this line and essentially proved this point. Imagine the 30 30 with 250 feet per second increase on 170 grain bullet with less stress on the action.

One more request. Make a 30-30 all steel with a 24 inch barrel. If you make a falling block be sure to include the 30-30 in the mix of offerings.

General rule is about 35-40fps per inch on the 30-30. Marlin makes a 24 inch but I would rather have the Henry. The 30-30 is still factory loaded with data from a 24inch barrel, it's the actual standard for the round. So if you see 2,390fps on a box of 150grain flat points subtract 37fps average for each inch under 24 inches. At 20 inches that round is 2,242fps at 18 inches it's 2,168fps. That's a lot.

After a lifetime of reloading everything from 458Win Mag to 22-250 and a bunch of wildcats I fell in love with the oldest of all the 30-30. It's cheap, it's fun and it's easy to improve. But there is no replacement for barrel length in simple improvements.

What I would like to see Henry make is an 1873 type Revolver.

(I asked Dan about it at the old place, but he never responded to it. Since then I went out and bought a Ruger Vaquero. But would still like to see Henry make one).

The original Henry was tube fed. The cavalry didn't like it cause they couldn't load it on a gallop.

What a bunch of sissy's. I'm learning to load mine at a full gallop, while drinking my morning coffee and posting a photo of the mug on the forum.
