It got there in 2014? Did Rod Serling send it?

When the Henry .45-70's first came out, there was an issue with the loading tube (which has been corrected). I had to send my .45-70 in twice - once for repair - second time for the loading tube upgrade.

Like JEBar stated - they instructed me to wrap the box in brown paper with no visible evidence it was a firearm.

As PT7 stated, I took the package to the UPS Store. First thing they asked - "Is this a firearm" They told me they would not ship firearms. I had to take it to a regular UPS Hub facility for shipment.

no change in info on the "Customer Portal" .... no notation that the rifle has been received (per UPS it was delivered yesterday) ... not a big deal because I know they have it .... with Thanksgiving coming next week, I don't expect to have it back for a while

There's an organic seasonality to almost every business/product/service, and I've wondered about how it works for something like Henry Warranty Repair. At the height of deer season, are there likely to be FEWER rifles going back to Henry for repair (meaning that the weeks leading up to deer season would have been crazy)?

Or, are many of them given as gifts at the Holidays, and problems don't appear until early January and the the first quarter is high volume time at the old repair shop? Dunno.

I wouldn't be surprised - assuming they're working Mon - Wed of next week - if yours is on its way back to you prior to Thanksgiving. Sending good mojo along those lines anyway!

having worked in and owned various businesses, I most certainly agree

My notices came at the end of the day, after they'd "cycled through" whatever needed to happen (UPS Label generated, etc.). It's gotta be pretty cold up in Rice Lake, so the wheels might be turning kind of slowly on the Monday after a holiday weekend!

well, Carnac appears to be psychic .. :? .. just checked my Customer Portal and our BBS 44 Mag left Rice Lake yesterday .... no comments addressing what they found to be the problem, nor what was done to correct it .... about 8 hours ago it departed from Hodgkins, IL and is on the road to who knows where .. :?: .. it is due to be delivered to us in 2 days, Friday 11-30-18 .. 8-) .. finally, we have a forecast for a weekend with good weather .. :) .. if that proves to be correct, I hope to resight the scope and send a few hundred rounds down range .. 8-)

Awesome news, JEB! Wonder how many here remember the Carnac reference?

Please let us know how she shoots. You should get a printout in the box with the Tech's notes of what was done.

absolutely .... I've done a good bit of thinking about the issue ===> load 10, first 9 load, fire and eject perfectly ... 10th round loads, fires, but hangs up instead of ejecting <=== the only difference I can think of is not having a round ready to go into the chamber .... I'm looking forward seeing what they say
