The Marlin Camp 45's command a hefty price. They didn't make that many of them. If Henry came out with a .45 I'd buy it.

I like the concept, and that HRA is branching out, but the looks are a bit off to me. The fore-end is too squared off in my eyes. But if everyone liked M&Ms, it’d be a boring trip to the candy store!

Dont care for the looks of it myself. 9mm makes sense as ammo is cheap and for me if I feel like picking it up I will. If I dont no harm done as loading it takes more time than its worth to me. Im not in to brass throwers to much anymore. Getting lazy in my old age. I like those guns that the brass falls out in my hand. Shooting 9mm outa my Ruger Blackhawk Convertible is just all right by me.

Heard about that but it puzzles me why the 357 max is being ignored. Im a max fan. It will do what the 360 will do and give you some other options like 357 mag.

I would have to hold one to decide on the square foreshock. I’m wondering if a gate fed tube feed semi could be made? Especially if it was a Mares Leg.

From a technical standpoint I don't see why not. Whether there would be market for it is a different question. I suspect you are looking for the slim lines of a tube mag for this. The problem with tube mags is the same as it's always been - centerfire cartridges and hardnose pointy bullets. Box mags solved that problem. Don't know if you noted that this new semi-auto comes with a flush fit 5rnd and a 10round mag, so you can still have the slim lines if you're willing to compromise on capacity and of course, no need for a gate.

I'll be watching for one but I'm not too concerned for my wallet just yet. It will probably be a while before they hit the local dealers. Judging by some of the Henry prices on Gunbroker this will be a $1500+ gun on there!

9MM should be able to be tube feed. Imagine a Winchester 92 being a semi-auto instead of a lever. I like the idea of it being able to get topped off with a gate.

I am sure that is a pre-production model, but I hope the wood to metal fit is a lot better on the production guns. That “proud” edge would drive me nuts:

And the pressed in “checkering” - yuck. That is not good in a $1000 rifle.

This! I am a huge fan of 35s, and the Legend didn't do it for me. I'm happy with 35 REM, but Henry doesn't do a steel one, so....

Just my opinion, 9mm is a SD cartridge/weapon. Same with 45 ACP. For me ONLY, hi-cap pistols and carbines in auto pistol calibers is for havoc in a hurry and close quarters. Camping or on the trail or in the woods, I want it dead. 357Mag is the least I would choose first.

Well. I have a new rifle on my want list (or maybe that's wait list...). The barrel length puts it in the 'restricted' class here. It took Ruger quite a while to get around to an 18.5" barreled 10-shot version of their PC Carbine. I hope Henry already has one in the works...I'd buy it.
The only reason I don't already have a Ruger is the lack of a wood stock option. Go Henry!
The area around the receiver is kind of reminiscent of a Browning BAR. I can live with that.
