Nice looking rifle 45 steel. Would love to see a range report on it.

Thanks, my wife's computer has an effect to black and white parts of the photo and color other parts so I thought I'd try to leave the Henry in color.Sir Henry wrote:RanchRoper that is a great picture of you shooting. I like the dark vignette around the edges.

Re: Pics. of your Henrys
if that Carbine shoots anywhere near as good as it looks, you have a dandy ..
Re: Pics. of your Henrys
Very nice photos, Whaler. At first glance, I couldn't figure the difference between your .357 Big Boy and mine....something wasn't "right." Then I noticed your larger-loop lever and realized you had said it was the Carbine model. Looks quite sharp. My Big Boy is the classic model with the standard lever.
Have you submitted a Range Report yet? I'd really like to see one. Interested in what you think about the accuracy & handling of the Carbine in the .357 caliber.
I'm curious because of the very good differences I've found in my .22LR Small Game Carbine as compared to the .22LR H001 I once had. The SGC, for me, is hands-down preferred --- a very well-balanced and accurate .22 rifle. Because of Henry's Carbine design, I'd bet your .357 shoots excellently, too.
Again, enjoyed your new photos of your .357!

I've come to feel the same way about our Henry 45-70 .... out to 100 +/- yards, I can't think of any big game animal I would hesitate to go after with itPMC wrote:My Henry 45 70. I call it ol Painless. Love this gun.

Thanks CT, my Dad built that barn that ol Painless is leaning up on. It's ready for another visit to the range.
JEBar, there is something special about these Henry 45 70 rifles. I feel safe with it around.
I have loved looking at this thread. Hope it keeps going and more members add pics!

Re: Pics. of your Henrys
Received my stock cover from Jon Klein. Didn't like the lever wrap but I think this will protect the stock sticking out of the scabbard. It takes a little getting used to shouldering it. Sticks a little when I'm used to the brass sliding up fast.

Re: Pics. of your Henrys
Hey Roper, it looks good to me.
I need to post a pic. of my bbs 41, but I'm no good with this phone. The ole laptop took a crap a month back and this is all I've got for a while.
Wish we had this on taptalk app. I finally figured that out.
Oh well y'all keep'em coming.
Enjoying all the pics.
