Stuff Henry ought to be making.
Re: What Firearms Would You Like To See Henry Make?
I believe they are scheduled for release later this summer or fall. From what I understand there aren't any out in the wild yet.

Re: What Firearms Would You Like To See Henry Make?
I hope Henry comes out with more octagon barreled color case hardened models. I held a color case hardened 30-30 one the other day at the LGS and man, was that nice. Action was so smooth... If that had been a 44 carbine with some Skinner receiver sights I would have bought it on the spot. There is nothing more fun than shooting a line of water bottles from about 25 yds with a Henry 44 carbine. If you hit em just right they launch about 10-15 ft high like a one of those water rockets we had when we kids.

Welcome from the Show-Me-State!
Strong ammo choice with a good Henry design. Building a rifle with a 24" barrel, that bullet should garner some attention for sure!
Out of curiosity, I looked at some .38-55 ammo at the Buffalo Bore site. Found a Buffalo Bore Heavy .38-55 Winchester round - 255 gr. J.F.N. Bonded Core .377 diam. They estimated the firing specs at 1,950fps/M.E.2,153 ft.lbs. Should do the job. But gosh, this is expensive stuff listed at $2.68/round (probably BB brand is one of the higher cost bullets). Being that high $$, I would think you probably reload as well.
Henry seems to be creating larger/stronger caliber rifles. Yours might be a possibility down-the-road.

Thanks for the welcome. Have in my possession two Henry's. The 1860 and most recently the case hardened 45-70. Reload for both. The 45-70 is an impressive rifle. Modern design, with a vintage look. Wondered what, along with the vintage look, a design that incorporated the old Henry appearance, with a classic caliber.

An 1860 original in 45 Colt would be my pick.

I would stand in line, in the rain for a pump .357 similar to the IMI Timber Wolf. I have an H012MR that is the best lever gun ever.

Re: What Firearms Would You Like To See Henry Make?
after thinking about it, I'd like to see them make a youth/lady's center fire carbine .... to do so they could cut as much weight as possible and produce a 357 carbine with a top quality recoil pad
Re: What Firearms Would You Like To See Henry Make?
So a lighter version with a shorter length of pull?JEBar wrote:after thinking about it, I'd like to see them make a youth/lady's center fire carbine .... to do so they could cut as much weight as possible and produce a 357 carbine with a top quality recoil pad

yep .... possibly come with 2 stocks (1 standard, 1 youth/short) or at least an option to purchase a standard one as the kid grows larger

Re: What Firearms Would You Like To See Henry Make?
Well I always said I would love to see them make a 35 rem.
But now I just picked up another 35 rem. That 's like new and matches my 1980 30-30 , made the same yr. Pre cross bolt safety. Nice wood.
So I would say Henry lost that sale.
