Another butt cuff

Post by Snakebit » Sat Jan 21, 2017 10:00 pm

I have always liked the looks of these and I like to mess around with leather. So I thought I would give it a try and make one up up for the BB 357. Made several paper patterns before cutting up a good piece of leather and then just kinda trial and error after that. I left the lacing long for now as I want to make up a sling attachment piece and lace that in.

I made the sheath for the Buck 192 knife, the wood and brass on that go with the rifle pretty good I think.

That looks great. It has a real nice old frontier look to it. Good job.

Great job, snakebit. You certainly could mess around some more and sell them, maybe even sell enough to pay for your next Henry. Very nice work. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Thank you for all the kind words. I hope to retire this year and do more. There is something about leather, brass, wood and steel that plastic can't replicate. Henry's have it all.

That is wonderful workmanship, Snakebit. I'm always in awe of folks who can produce work like that.
