No More $200
No More $200
I just read that one of the things in the new law that the President just signed was no more $200 fee for suppressors . That should make a lot of us be glad.
Re: No More $200
I was thinking of buying one eventually, but the devices without the tax stamp fee are still $600 to over $1000.

Re: No More $200
Welp, i'm 20 plus stamps in.
I've a few simple rules.
1, If you shoot lead, get a user-serviceable can, ie something that you can clean the baffles with. This goes for cans of all sizes, especially 22lr cans.
2, if you want to swap the can between rifles. Consider the costs of the muzzle devices and hub mount for the can
3, Do all cans work, but they are not as quiet dedicated caliber specific cans. 8 of my 15 cans are do all cans.

Re: No More $200
And it could get even better.
Gun rights groups and firearm industry leaders are launching a new legal effort to dismantle what remains of the National Firearms Act after President Donald Trump signed legislation Friday that eliminates excise taxes on suppressors and short-barreled firearms.
The forthcoming lawsuit, described by advocates as the "One Big Beautiful Lawsuit," will argue that the NFA’s remaining provisions, including registration mandates and transfer rules, are now unconstitutional following passage of the Trump-backed “one big, beautiful bill.”

Re: No More $200
Do you still have to go thru all the Fed paperwork with fingerprints and picture and forms? You would think once would be enough unless you committed some Felony!
Re: No More $200
Yeah the fed paperwork is still part of the deal, as is any wait time. It sucks. But it is a start.
