I found the Triple K "Shotgun Scabbard" several years ago and realized it would be perfect for the lever guns. We renamed it the "Quiver" since its more of a Quiver than a Scabbard. (And reminiscent of my Howard Hill back quiver)

We have them available on our Gun Cases page at www.skinnersights.com

Hope that helps!

I bet the Mare's Leg would fit nicely inside of it.

My Triple K scabbard arrived. It is very heavy duty, I like it. Suede lined and oil real nice. Pics sometime this weekend with a Henry in it.

I found a photo of an 1860 model Henry with a California horn loop type scabbard. Interesting way to pack a rifle, not sure I'd want to have it flopping around, but this was an old style way of packing them around. Packing on the right side of the horse with the butt facing the rear is called the southwest style, and having the butt facing forward is called the northwest style.

Just some info for ya.... 8-)....I carry mine southwest style. It's out of the way of my leg on my horse, out of the way of anything I have to rope, and it's easy enough to get at if I have to.

Very cool California Rig. You know horse riding, so I appreciate your skepticism.

That's a really good photograph of you in the saddle.
