Magazine plug or restriction?

Post by Cj7 » Tue May 26, 2020 9:06 pm

New here and have a couple questions on 44 AW magazine tube.
Mich has a restriction of 5 rnds in mag and one in the hole, 6 total capacity.
Ok either im right up there in the dufuss category or my Hunt n peck typing skills cant locate any info.
I havent spent days looking but my luck will still be looking in Nov.
Any leads or info is greatly accepted.

you can call Henry, tell them the legal load capacity in your area and they will make you an appropriate magazine tube .... unsure as to the cost don't believe it to be exorbitant

I realize Canada is totally different, but we have the limited rounds/magazine rule here too, but it does not seem to apply to lever guns. Maybe worth checking. Hope it all works out ok. Good luck.

CT has a ten round magazine restriction, too, but it does not apply to lever action rifles.

It seems that Michigan does not have a restriction on magazine capacities except for hunting. I suspect that simply loading no more than the required maximum would satisfy the law, but give your state's hunting regulatory folks (DNR) a call.

The Michigan DNR said, the 6 rnd restriction only applies to semi automatic firearms.
I have never needed that many for deer season ever, it would just be my luck to get checked one day.
Been checked many times during Waterfowl season, just want to stay on the up n up.

I never did understand the reasoning for plugs. Makes no sense at all to me. :?
