Henry Commercials

Post by GFK » Fri May 22, 2020 10:21 pm

I still get caught by surprise when I see a commercial by Henry Repeating Arms. It seems so strange. It is the second one I have seen within the last couple of weeks. At times, I think my ears are deceiving me, until I notice the rifle and a cowboy hat. As far as I can remember (5 decades), I don't recall any other firearm manufacturer advertising its firearms. More than that, Henry seems to show confidence that its firearm are just as important as other essential items, which I agree. I hope my comment does not take a wrong turn. I am just pleased to see someone proud of its firearms and not a shame.

I used to see them all the time say, 20 yrs or so ago especially on the Saturday morning outdoor shows. I haven't noticed any lately in this area.

I have seen them as well. I think it depends on the network you're watching. See them a lot on FOX.

Well, maybe that is it. When I watch TV now, it is mainly One American News. In the past (30-40 years ago), I have watched local channels. But lately (past 15 years or so), I have had DirectTV, and I mainly just watch the news.

Yes, mine is almost always on FOX unless I'm watching a movie, or something worthwhile.
I'ts always nice to see their commercials.

It is good that Henry is getting air time. That was my point. It seems to be the only firearm manufacturer with air time.

My stepdad is closing in on 90 and watches a 24 hour news network all day everyday. I think I would hang myself. It’s all a bunch of depressing propaganda these days. If there is something I “need” to know, I’ll hear about it.

Henry sponsors a car in one Xfinity race per year .... they get a good bit of national advertising out of it .... last year's car shown below

Yes, some of the news is a bunch of junk. I find myself watching One American News, because it seems to try and present somewhat of a balanced view.

We don't get Henry commercials here, too scary for most Canadians I guess...maple syrup, beaver pelts, and hockey sticks are mostly what we see ads for.... :)
