New Sights

The Skinner sights arrived today and I got them on pretty quick. The first few shots were a foot low at 25 yards, I knew the .700 high front that Skinner supplied would need to be filed down. Before I started I remembered that I had a .500 high Marbles front with a big brass bead in my plunder, I figured I'd try it before I broke out the file. I had skinners largest apature on hand so I used it too, and I screwed the sight all the way down. I only use one load, I won't need any adjustment now that they are dialed in.
Here is the results, Three shots at 25 yards. Dont laugh at my old green shooting bench.

Old green shooting benches have been helping drop deer for decades. Glad you got your sights set. Enjoy your shooting.

As much as those John Deeres cost anymore you need to put them to use anyway you can. But nothin runs like a Deere and nothin costs like one either. Nice you got those skinners dialed in. The stock sights on Henrys Single Shots leave a lot to be desired IMHO.

Yes sir, Henry could do a lot better with their sights. I wasn't mad at them but my old eyes need something a little better than that.
