Henry Single Shot Rifle Pivot Pin

Post by HenryFan » Sun Nov 19, 2023 9:12 am

I looked at a video, probably one of Henry Rifle's videos, and it mentions that on the single shot rifles, one should use a nylon punch to remove the pivot pin in order to separate the barrel/forearm from the receiver/stock.

Does someone sell such? Do other single shot users use a brass drift rather than a nylon punch?

Am I overthinking this thing? Is it easy to remove without a specialized tool?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Mags -

Thank you. I didn't think of Amazon but I think that is what I want.

Use a wood dowel. Works fine on mine.

I use an old turkey pot call striker. Fits perfect.

I took it a out this afternoon. I used a brass drift and was surprised how easily it came out. Really just a light tap.

Thanks to those who offered advice.

Thanks henry fan for pup comment. We have fond memories of the two in forefront, who we lost this fall. They were almost 14, siblings and were so special gentle dogs.
