Single Shot 30-30 Availability

Post by TBoneJack » Sun May 29, 2022 12:40 pm

I've been wanting a new Henry Single Shot in 30-30 for a long time, and finally tried to order one from my local gun shop yesterday. They checked and said all their suppliers are out of this rifle, with no estimated date for restocking.

What's up with that? Is Henry not making many single shot rifles in 30-30 any more?

I think I'll call Henry and see if they can give me any availability info.

I was thinking about one in 44, and my lgs looked and none available either.
But I've about changed my mind now, and one in 30-30 would be nice.
But if I do get one I'll see about having it bored to 38-55... :o ;)
Already have 5 30-30's so I really don't have a need for a straight up 30-30.

The Wally World by me has a .22 Henry Lever for $369. And they have a 30-30 lever for $768. While I’m not interested in the 30-30 I’m having a very hard time staying away from the .22.

Ok enablers - have at it.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Zara, that’s less than 1/2 the price for the 22! What a deal! Oh yeah, you better jump on that one. Lol.

Welcome to the forum Jack. Do call Henry and maybe they can locate one for you. There is quite a few online at Gunbroker. You might check with your local FFL or gun store.

Yeah - got one for my son many years ago. He loves it still. For a while I’ve been stocking up on .22’s - so I have plenty. And there’s still plenty on the shelves around here. So feeding it would be cheaper now than it was a couple years ago. But I’ve added a couple .22’s in the last few years so I don’t have a great reason to pick it up.

And my apologies to the original poster. I feel like I highjacked the thread. BUT - there is a Henry 30-30 lever for a decent price right ‘round the corner from me - if you’re interested.

Good deal for someone, I've gotten a couple of deals on there like that before. :)
