Wondering if anyone has shot their 308 out to 300 yards like you would have a shot up to out west. Would like to take one to Nebraska. I have a 243 that’s accurate but thought about getting 308 to take out there.

308 has long been one of my favorite calibers .... I don't have any experience with a single shot but do know Henry's 308 Long Ranger has proven to be very accurate .... looking forward to following your range and use reports

I'd find a range that had the capability to sight in at 300

The 308 is an inherently accurate cartridge, and is certainly capable well past 300 yards if the shooter/rifle combination is up to the task.

Thanks for the replies, I’m trying to figure out how accurate these single shots are. Around here 100-200 yards is about all we get.
