Really gloomy day out and cold. Only 50 degrees today, not normal temp for this time of the year. Only got this one picture and it's really not that good. But here it is with the LOP at 12.5"

Guy's I have had my Lever action for a while now and the only problem that I have had with it is using slugs in it. The slugs are just a little longer than a shot shell and they seem to jam the rifle up. Last time I tried them I had to remove the bolt to get the rifle unlocked. Other than that it is all good. Anyone else have this problem ? I may give Henry a call on it.

I wouldn't be too upset about the 410 slugs. They are not very impressive to me. If you need something like that then just pull out a .44 or .45 .

Travlin,
I would rather use Buck shot also or just plain old bird shot but still I would figure that it should shoot slugs. Just incase you did ever want to use it for deer hunting or such (I have never deer hunted though, really don't care for deer meat)

Any more updates on this? I’ve been eyeing up the same .410 and I would definitely like it to handle slugs. I am primarily a bird hunter, but I also like venison, and it would be pretty darn cool to be able to drop a slug in if I happened to stumble on to a deer while bird hunting.

Any other thoughts on the .410 now?
