The 410 X Model Lever Action

I been looking on the Henry web site at the 410 lever actions. I see the 24" barrel has screw in choke but 20" don't.I would rather have the 20" barrel. I'm not gonna buy another 410 without some kind of choke. Then I saw the X model. Close to 20" barrel with screw in choke. Not wood, but I can live with the synthetic stock. Asking for advice, opinions, tips, any info y'all may have. Im going to start looking for one to see and hold. I wish it was a little lighter, weight and price.

Good luck with the search, you can buy the wooden stocks for the X models now.

I bought a Henry 410 Model X yesterday. Cleaned the barrel and bolt this morning. Was hoping to shoot it some today but run out of time. Took all afternoon cutting grass. Did cycle rounds thru it though. Dentist appointment in morning, but when I get home and my target is in shade, I plan on shooting a few rounds. Hopefully have a range report tomorrow night.

Good deal finding one and add the wood kit later. How is the supply of 410 ammo around your area?

Yep, got lucky finding one. No 410 ammo around here in a long, long time. And you right about the wood kit. Already been looking at it.

Looks like Henry is out of the wood kit. Will contact me when they get them back in stock.

I'm liking this Henry. Trying different choke tubes in it and settling down with a F extended tube. One thing about it, if weight is an indication how good it is, this should be a really good shotgun. It's the heaviest rifle or shotgun I have.

I been discussing passing my guns to the kids and grandkids. I may have to sell a couple to pay for some of this. The wood kit should be here Monday.

Wood Kit came in mail today. It's nice. It looks great. Thought I'd have some pictures to show by now, but may be a while. The fore arm don't come off like I thought it did. I think I can do it, but gosh I don't want to scratch a brand new gun. I'll study on it some tomorrow.

Everything must have lined up just right. Decided at 5:00 on that Saturday afternoon to ride 50 miles to BPS. Didn’t see the Henry on rack. Was about to leave when guy asked if I needed help. I told him no I was just looking to see if they had any Henry shotguns. Said had 1. It was all way at end of gun rack. And you know it followed me home.
