Single shot shotgun
Single shot shotgun
For those of you that own one how do you still like it? I"m eyeing a 12ga in steal for myself. Any regrets, another words the "Honey moon Is over."
Re: Single shot shotgun
I am also eyeing a 410 for my bride.(OK, Maybe me too)
Re: Single shot shotgun
Not a thing wrong with them. They are easy to care for light to carry and I believe they will make you a better shot because you only have one.

Re: Single shot shotgun
In all my years hunting if you don't get the game on the first shot their gone. I'm looking for light and low maintenance and reliability.
Re: Single shot shotgun
I just got one in 20ga. I like it. Beautiful stock. Very nimble.
Re: Single shot shotgun
I shot the single shot 20ga yesterday and found out it doesn't like Challenger shells. It would eject unfired shells, but fired shells would get stuck. No problems with other brands.
Re: Single shot shotgun
PB Snooker, Look at the shells that won't eject. Do they have a mark on the brass where the extractor makes contact? I had a brand new Winchester single barreled 20 Ga. many years ago that would not eject fired shells. It went to the Winchester repair station and they milled a small amount from the length of the ejector and that cured the problem.
Re: Single shot shotgun
Travlin,I threw the shells out, but next time I will examine them more closely. It ejects other brands fine. Challenger brass must be softer or thinner and expand when fired, getting stuck.

Re: Single shot shotgun
Love my 20 gauge, my go to gun.
Re: Single shot shotgun
I handled a Henry 410 just this afternoon. Very nice, appears well made - but seems a bit heavy for a single shot 410.
