Vaquereo, there is no choke, cylinder bore. I believe the 24" barrel .410 comes with a full choke tube and other chokes are available from Henry.
PennPete, your opening bid is 200 north of the grand I paid. I haven't spent a grand on anything so "grand" in a long time!

Beautiful. Tina has a nice 410 defender shotgun, a fave. She uses it around the farm, a lot, and effectively. You could ask the varmints. Oh wait, no you couldn't.
I'd be afraid to use that shotgun as a shotgun however, too pretty.

It will also make a nice slug gun.
Re: A beautiful Henry - .410 lever action
Interesting with the rifle sights on it. Maybe not so great for birds on the wing but that would be wonderful for pest control and other stationary targets. Squirrels maybe??? Not sure as the only squirrel shooting around here is ground squirrels which are considered pests. Regardless that’s one fine looking shotgun.

Re: A beautiful Henry - .410 lever action
It's going to be used as a shotgun. Time will tell how well those sights will work on any birds. I mainly have it for pests and squirrel & rabbit hunting my thickly wooded property. If the season is right and a game bird comes in line, we will see.......BrokenolMarine wrote: ↑Sun Sep 04, 2022 7:56 pm

Beautiful gun Dave.
Have to say that this has sparked my interest in a H018G-410R.
But, I am having a hard time finding 410 - 2 1/2. Every time I go into a store that sells Ammo, it's always "no, sorry" haven't had any in a long time now.
I've been away from the market, but 2 places told me this week that 410 is now the "new 22" shortage we had in the recent years. One guy told me that it is worse than the 22 days. Are y'all finding some out there?

I'd like to know the reason for that particular caliber being hard to find. I Don't get it.

Dave, that’s not a bad pattern at 25 yds for no choke. I’ve only been shooting 410 for a few years, but I have found that different brands of ammo shoot different. At least back when we could get different brands.

Few and far between but I have picked up a couple of boxes here and there. There was a post on this site showing an online seller with some.Cowboy Gun Fan wrote: ↑Sat Sep 10, 2022 8:50 pmBeautiful gun Dave.

Check out AmmoSeek website. There is plenty of 410 ammo, but it is not cheap.
