The only negative about the Henry would be the weight. Other than that,a very versatile gun.

My granddaughter wanted start shooting skeet, I have an over/under .410 she wants to use. I have a case of shells so we might want to try it out this weekend.

You may want to try her out on an easy sporting clays course first, to build her confidence.
