Looks really cool Dave. Carbon fiber spare tank? Is that also for propane or will this engine run on either? Al

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Nice report Dave. Bet you'll be happy with that for a while.
Miss T and I have stayed away from powered craft so far, thus avoiding both licensing the kayaks here in VA and paying taxes on them. Lol. It is drawing near the time to sell all the kayaks and their trailer... and buy a small bass boat... can't get around like we used to. Probably a couple more years.

I have to say that I have not bought small 16 oz cylinders in a while. They have ranged in price from 5 to 9 dollars each. I remember Sam's club used to have bundles of them really inexpensively priced.

The spare tank is propane only. It might be fiber glass. It's very bright. I don't know. I think it held 11 lbs of propane. I had two 20 lb cylinders and the new tank filled all at once. It was 43.oo for all three. I'll tinker with the gas engine more, but the ease of the propane motor will make one less problem while exploring lakes and ponds.

Hey BrokenolMarine,

I might suggest a bay/flats boat instead of a bass boat. You got fiberglass/gelcoat decks instead of the plywood/carpet decks found in a lot of bass boats. You can have it setup with swivel chairs if you like, just like a bass boat :D

Bay boats are way cool. Especially the ones that have about 3 of the 250HP motors hangin off the back they look bad to the bone. Al

Bay boats are nice. But in the area that BM lives in shallow water rivers and outboard jets rule unless you stay strictly on salt water.
