Well, I ended up with a pair of Timberlands.

agree ... outside of deep, wet snow they should serve you well .... I really like the eyes for the tie cord

Yeah, the Sketchers had plastic open eyelets. I hope to try them out later this week. Having to work 6 days a weeks right now, but plan on getting in the woods on my one day off this week.

Here in South Carolina, deep wet snow is a once a decade occurrence. Deep, wet puddles on the other hand................

I wear the arctic sport but there are other boots for hunting....100% waterproof, comfortable and warm.
