Gun safe
Just an FYI. I have a Winchester 24 gun safe that I bought about 6 years ago. It has the digital key pad and 5 spoke handle. I like it and it serves me well. The handle had gotten difficult to turn when opening and closing. Yesterday, I opened it, emptied the storage on the inside of the door. I proceeded to take the inside door panel off to expose the works. I then used " Ballistol" which thanks to this forum, I discovered. Sprayed it on all working/sliding parts and it now works smooth as the lever on my Henry.
I'm sure some have probably already experienced this, but it sure made me happy.

Re: Gun safe
sadly, there is .... I've looked at various gun safes and have concerns with technology beyond a key or combination lock .... my phobia is a failure in the keypad that would prevent me from opening the safe .... your assessment would be appreciated

Re: Gun safe
Yes Jim, that has been a concern to me as well. Have yet to have a problem though. The only thing aside from a lube job has been replacing the battery, which is easily done. Pad will beep at you upon entering combo to let you know it is getting weak. I like the digital version though because it only takes about a second to open it.JEBar wrote:sadly, there is ....
