Too bad the real Herter's ceased to exist many years ago. My two reloading presses and powder scale that I bought from them in 1969 are still working just fine.

I finally decided to go on and order the Herter's shooting bench from Cabela's (the one shown in the link in the first post ) .... it is supposed to have shipped today to our local Cabela's, hopefully it will get there later this week .... we are looking forward to giving it a try

we've used our new shooting bench a half dozen or so times and it is really solid .... I don't care for the rifle rest but other than that, its an excellent product .... the fact that it is solidly built also means that it isn't light weight .... I wouldn't want to tote it way out in the woods
