What's a good tactical light ?
Opinions wanted
What do you like for a small super bright flash light, rechargeable prefered.
Any op on the Atomic Beam on TV ?
Nothing too high dollar, but decent.
Thanks, Dave

For the last 5 + years I've been using those Ozark Trail flashlights at Walmart. I have at least four of them; one in each car, etc.
For the money I don't think you can beat them. They're in the Walmart camping isle.

Dave,
Without knowing your intended purpose for the light, I would suggest this light. I carry it daily on my belt when wearing jeans. It takes one AA battery. It can be set on super bright, or three different strengths of light with a click of the cap. I use rechargeables in mine. If you want some thing brighter, there are plenty of offerings from Fenix. I have several of their lights for different tasks. Their products are well made.

Give us an idea of what you want it for and we'll see what pops up.

I like Maglite which is made in the U.S.A. I must have a couple dozen ranging from a single AAA cell to a six D cell. That six D cell flashlight also makes a good weapon and you can buy an end for them which will break a windshield.

Got the 4 D cell mag. and several AA mini mags. The small ones just don't last for me, and newer stuff is brighter.
Was curious about the Atomic Beam, saw one on feebay for 12.00. But TV stuff is usually junk !!

Are you talking about the batteries on the smaller ones not lasting? The L.E.D. bulbs are a lot more expensive but will make the batteries last a long time.

Actually, SH it was the ground contact/switches that would screw up, and you'd have to tap it or shake it and it w/go out when you needed it !!
Tried LED bulbs too and they lose your magnification feature. Just trying to "modernize", but about the size of a AA mag.

I have the LED Maglites in each of my vehicles, my nightstand, workbench, and several other places.Sir Henry wrote:Are you talking about the batteries on the smaller ones not lasting? The L.E.D. bulbs are a lot more expensive but will make the batteries last a long time.
