MOJO Pick Stick

Post by JEBar » Wed Jul 21, 2021 5:12 pm

I enjoy shooting Trap and customarily fire 100 or more rounds per outing .... with one knee already having been replaced and the other close to needing the same, picking up the empty shells can sure cut down a good bit on the enjoyment .... I've seen and used a magnetic shell retriever several times that they furnish at Jay Hinges Shooting Park in St Louis .... the magnets in their aren't very strong but work and make the cleanup much easier .... after doing some research I decided to purchase a MOJO Pick Stick ===> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rCiE8zdTw0 and hope to use it for the first time tomorrow afternoon .... as an odd note, a sticker on the cap says it should be removed before use .... I tried every thing I could think of and couldn't budge it .... eventually I called their customer service and got an answer that caught me completely by surprise .... the lady told me to take knife and cut it off .. :? .. I thanked her and hung up .... after a while I got Maureen's hair dryer used it to heat up the cap .... it took a while but it did work .... after thoroughly cleaning the inside of the cap and outside of the rod, it now stays in place but can be removed without any tools

I decided to record the first task performed by our Pick Stick for posterity .. :D .. weeks ago I noticed a screw laying on the pavement just behind one of our camper's tires .... its located under a slide out and I had no desire to crawl under there to retrieve it .... at that time I had a passing thought of retrieving it just before we pull out to head home but the reality is, the chance of me remembering to do so is pretty small .... happy to report the Pick Stick performed as advertised ...

just got back from the Brookings Gun Club .... I fired 4 rounds on one of their trap ranges which equals 100 shots .... after shooting I took our Pick Stick and with high expectations began picking up empty shells .... I'm delighted to say that its performance exceeded my expectations .... I can only wish I'd bought it several years ago and am happy to give it a very positive recommendation

Take a look at a Nifty-Nabber. I have a couple of these and they’re great. First used one at work and liked it so well I picked up a few for home. I’ll come back with an Amazon link but there’re available at many other stores.
