Hard Work in post surgical physical therapy has paid off, and I have the ability to pinch the thumb and two fingers together on the nerve damaged left hand. :D I can't make a fist or grip yet, but that limited motion in the non-dominate hand means I can reel... :o

Miss T realized it was unusually warm today, so we went down to the pond. I hooked the biggest bass we have pulled out of the pond, a fat 20" largemouth. I was happy as can be. Then realized I couldn't release the dang thing. ;)

I lipped him with my dominate hand, but my pinch grip in my left hand wasn't strong enough yet to pop the crappie jig out, nor hold forceps closed on the hook and twist. (Rotation still causes flashes of pain at the edges of rotation.)

Miss T called me a kitten, but released him. :P

Neither of us brought our phones, so no pics.

I hung in for forty five minutes, then waited in the polaris. Tina gave it an hour more. The white westie had a great time running the muddy banks, and was black up to her hips and chest. She got two baths before she was white again, draining the tub between them.

Great afternoon.

Temps dropped tonight, might see lows overnight in the 3os, snow for Thanksgiving. ;)

I’ve never heard of a recovery based on how big of fish I can catch. Well done.

That’s a funny but sad story, glad you’re making progress. I can just see that Westie all covered with mud………..
