Got to fish this weekend

Always good to get out. I haven't been out much at all this year.

Eat the white bass. Release the smallies. Smallies are a slow maturing fish. It takes them a while to reach breeding age. Especially in northern waters where the growing season is short. A big trophy sized Smallie is likely 12 years old or more and is also likely a breeding female in her prime. A largemouth will grow to the same size in less than 1/2 the time.
