September 4th, 1860 Henry

86F and sunshine, way too dry. Have not been to the range since early July. Busy with cows and horses. Today I took my Henry 1860 45 Colt for some shooting fun. Open sights, although I raise the ladder sight for the 100 yd shots.

25 yds = 3" target and 14 rounds
50 yds = 6" target and 12 rounds
100 yds = 12" target and 24 rounds

No wind, and rifle was cleaned in late July. Shooting 250 gr LRNFP with 7.0 gn Universal.

remarkable offhand shooting .... with the looks of the 25 and 50 yard targets, your rifle's sights must be set on about 50

Mighty fine shooting. By the looks of those groups, with open sights, I'd say that 1860 likes the loads you're feeding it. :D

Youre a little rusty you better shoot more often to sharpen back up again
